Fasig House
Address:East High and Wolf Streets, Manheim
Phone: (717)664-3486
Representative of homes of the late 1700's, this log structure began as a place for religious meetings. Eventually the home became known after the Fasig family since they occupied the home for generations. Later the home was covered in siding and forgotten. The Denver and Ephrata Telephone Company purchased the property where this building was located.
The log home was rediscovered and donated to the Manheim Historical Society. In 1974, the house was disassembled. With some new materials, the support of the volunteers and on another site, the log home was reassembled. In October 1975 during the Manheim Community Farm Show the home was reopened.
