Carpenter's Cemetery was carved from the land holdings of Daniel Fierre {Ferree},son of the first woman settler in the Paradise, Mary Warenbuer Ferree, who was buried there in 1716. She was a French Huguenot who emigrated with her family in 1712 from Germany. Her grandson Daniel Fierre Jr. married Mary(Zimmerman) Carpenter. Their daughter Mary Fierre who was married to Dr. John Carpenter inherited the property from her family. They built a large estate home Carpenter's Hall a. 1800 nearby. It was on Quarry Road but has been demolished.
Carpenter's Cemetery is located on Black Horse Road south of Paradise. It is open for visitation at any time.
