Ingredients:
1/4 C. butter (soft or oil); 1/2 C. sugar; 1 large egg; 1/2 C. milk; 1-1/2 C. flour, sifted; 1 T. baking powder; 1/2 tsp. cinnamon; 1 C. apples, peeled and chopped fine; 1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation:
Whisk melted butter, sugar, egg and milk. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder and cinnamon; add to wet incredients. Don't overbeat. Fold in apples and spoon into muffin papers or tins (2/3 full). Sprinkle with topping. Combine 3 ingredients (1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup chopped nuts, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon). Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Peaches can be substituted for apples.
