Ingredients:
3 or 4 slices bacon; 1 egg, beaten; 1-1/2 T. flour; 1 C. milk or cream; 1 tsp. mustard; 1/4 C. vinegar; 2 T. mayonnaise; 1/4 C. sugar; 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper; 1 qt. salad greens with a little chopped onion
Preparation:
Chop bacon and fry until crisp; remove bacon and add to greens. Add all other ingredients to beaten egg and pour into hot bacon fat. Cook until thick (about 5 minutes); let dressing cool. Greens may be lettuce, endive, dandelion, spinach or in potato salad.
