French Apple Cake

Ingredients:
1 box white cake mix; 1-1/4 C. water; 3 eggs; 1/3 C. oil; 3 apples (lg.), peeled and sliced; 2/3 C. sugar; 1 T. flour; 1/2 tsp. cinnamon; 2 T. butter, melted; 2 T. lemon juice

Preparation:
In a 9x13" pan, arrange apples. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Combine butter and lemon juice and drizzle over apples. Put cake mix in a bowl and add water, eggs and oil. Pour batter over apples and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes; test with a cake tester. Invert cake on a large platter or tray, serve warm. Serves 12 to 16.
