Sally Lunn Bread

Ingredients:
1 C. milk; 1/2 C. butter; 4 C. flour, sifted; 1/3 C. sugar; 2 tsp. salt; 2 pkgs. active dry yeast; 3 eggs

Preparation:
Grease 1 loaf pan. Heat milk, butter and 1/4 cup water until butter is melted. In another bowl, combine 1-1/3 cup flour, sugar, salt and yeast; mix. Blend warm liquids into flour mixture. Mix 2 minutes on medium speed. Gradually add 2/3 cup flour and eggs. Beat on high 2 minutes. Add rest of flour and mix. Cover and let rise about 1-1/2 hour. Beat dough down with spatula and turn into greased pan. Cover and let rise about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
