Lemon Tea Logs

Ingredients:
1 stick butter; 1 C. sugar; 2 eggs, beaten; Grated lemon rind; 1-1/2 C. flour; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1/2 C. milk; 1/2 C. chopped pecans ^^ GLAZE: 1/4 C. sugar; 1/2 C. lemon juice; 1 T. grated lemon rind

Preparation:
Cream butter and sugar; stir in eggs and lemon peel. In another bowl, sift dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients along with the milk. Fold in pecans. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Heat glaze ingredients and make holes with toothpick in warm loaf and pour glaze on top. Cool at least 10 minutes before removing from pan.
