Lemon Nut Bread
by: The Tin Bin 

Ingredients:
6 T. butter, soft; 1-1/3 C. sugar; 2 eggs; 1-1/2 C. flour; Dash salt; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1/2 C. milk; 1/4 C. chopped nuts; 1 lemon (juice and grated rind)

Preparation:
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar; add eggs and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to milk, butter and sugar. Stir in nuts and lemon juice and rind. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and lemon juice. Pour over bread. Let stand 30 minutes.
