Ingredients:
6 chicken breasts, split; Salt and pepper to taste; 16 fresh or canned small onions; 1 can cream of mushroom soup; 2 T. sherry; 1/4 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
Preparation:
In a shallow 3-quart baking dish, place chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add onions. Mix soup and sherry and pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 325 degrees covered for 45 minutes then uncover for another 30 minutes.
