Ingredients:
12 slices bread, trimmed; 1-1/2 lb. cooked sausage or 1 lb. crumbled bacon (crisp); 1 lb. shredded mild cheese or Cheddar (1-1/2 C.); 6 eggs; 3 C. half and half or milk; Salt and pepper; 1-1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation:
Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper and dry mustard together. Layer first 3 ingredients in order 2 times. Pour egg mixture between layers and on top. Refrigerate overnight. Bake in a 9x13" pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Seves 8 to 12. OPTIONAL: Add 1 small can mushrooms.
